A Love Lee Bridal Shower featured on Wedding Chicks!

I'm so excited to be featured on Wedding Chicks! I got to photograph this charming bridal shower luncheon earlier this summer. When I walked into the TwoBeWed studio where the ladies of Recollection Vintage Rentals also showcase their wonderful vintage pieces, my jaw dropped! Recollection Vintage did a fantastic job styling this girly bridal shower!

Fredericksburg Engagements: Becky and Daniel at a vineyard

Becky and Daniel wanted to get out of Houston for their engagement session. When Becky told me that they wanted to meet up in Fredericksburg, TX at a vineyard they were staying at, I just couldn't resist! The heat is definitely not limited to Houston this summer! It was hot, but Becky and Daniel were with me the whole way! We had a lot of fun, and even made some time to stop by downtown Fredericksburg for some more pictures before I headed home. Enjoy!

Houston Engagements: Mimi and Charles...and Harry Potter!

Who's excited about the final Harry Potter movie? I am! I am! Mimi is a long time family friend of my husband and his family. I loved her as soon as I met her! She's marrying the sweetest guy, Charles, in California in a few weeks and I can't go :( I'm too pregnant and I know that if I even tried to get on an airplane, the flight attendants would take one look at me and kick me off.

Mimi and Charles are huge Harry Potter fans, and so am I! In fact their wedding is going to have Harry Potter touches in their decor. Ack! I wish I could be there! My husband isn't so much a fan, so he doesn't appreciate all the buzz that the final movie is generating. But I'm a fan. In fact, one Halloween I was Harry Potter. I'll have to find that picture for you!

We met up yesterday for a quick shoot and one of their outfits included Gryffindor t-shirts! I'm so excited for our friends. I really wish I could be there for their big day. I love you Mimi and Charles!

Imagine it's May. We're by the beach. The weather is perfect. The skies are blue. The sun's warmth is just right. The breeze is cool. You have a beautiful couple in love. They're ready, without a doubt, to commit themselves to each other. In front of all their friends and family, for the rest of their lives. That's the honor I had of capturing Heather and Tralon's wedding day! I'll never forget how truly happy everyone was that day. From the couple, to the wedding party and all the guests.

Of course, what makes a perfect wedding is a collection of perfect wedding professionals, working as a team to make Heather and Tralon's day everything they dreamed it would be :)

A Senior Session by the Museum

Last week I met a remarkable young lady named Leah. She's 18, off to college at Syracuse University in New York to study fashion design, AND she's interning this summer with fashion designer and Project Runway winner, Christian Siriano! What a fantastic adventure to start your life!

I had the pleasure of photographing her senior pictures for her. Leah is sweet, charming, whimsical, loves fashion, loves photography, loves to bake cupcakes, and without a doubt, she is going to make her mark on this world. I don't get a lot of requests for senior pics, but I'm really glad Leah trusted me to capture these images for her. I had a great time :) Enjoy!

Houston Wedding Photography: Sandhya and Ashish's Reception

Several weeks ago I blogged about Sandhya and Ashish's three day wedding affair. I shared their Mendhi, Sangeet, and Ceremony. Well here's their final post - the reception! I almost forgot to share this one with you! The reception took place at the Hilton on Westchase and was planned beautifully by Shena of Desi-gn. Lots of dancing, lots of truly heartfelt speeches, and lots of love that night. Enjoy!

Houston Boudoir Photography: Mrs. K

It's music to my ears when I get a boudoir client that says, "Absolutely, YES!" when I ask if I can post images from their boudoir session on my blog. I never post any part of a client's boudoir session unless they're okay with it!

Mrs. K celebrated her 14th wedding anniversary with her husband in May. She decided a boudoir shoot was exactly what she wanted to give him as her gift. We met up at the studio for her hair and makeup by the talented Artee of Blush and Glow. Mrs. K looked stunning, and was extremely excited about her session. I'm so happy to share these with you!

Houston Wedding Photography: Latricia's Bridal Session

Latricia was married to the love of her life, Okon, this past Saturday, so I'm so excited that I get to show you her bridals now! By the way, the wedding day went perfectly thanks to Events by Audrey.We met up at her wedding venue, The Bell Tower on 34th, one afternoon for her session. Anita with Blush and Glow did a fantastic job on Latricia's hair and makeup. She looked flawless. Latricia was a gorgeous bride and she's so sweet and such a delight to hang out with. It made the session so easy :)

Houston Wedding Photography: Catherine and Andrew's Wedding

Catherine and Andrew had a lovely wedding in March. They started off the day with their ceremony at their church, St. Luke's United Methodist Church and celebrated at one of my favorite venues, The Alden Hotel. I get to photograph a lot of weddings at the Alden, and this was the first one I ever photographed where the veranda was left completely open to the outside air. It was so nice!

I really enjoyed hanging out with Catherine and Andrew before the ceremony. Family really means alot to them and I could tell that everyone that loves them was so ecstatically happy for them! Enjoy!

When I photograph an Indian wedding, or any other South Asian wedding for that matter, it's really difficult to narrow down my favorites for my blog! There's always so many beautiful things to feature! I photographed Sandhya and Ashish's mendhi and sangeet nights before the day of the ceremony and reception. By day 3 you'd think they'd be exhausted! But they were so happy and so ready to be married. It was a gorgeous day with blue skies, beautiful ceremony, and a wonderful couple so in love :)

Houston Wedding Photography: Jacque and Jason at the Houston Racquet Club

Jacque and Jason were married in an intimate outdoor ceremony at the Houston Racquet Club last month. I remember when I met Jacque during her consultation, and I was so excited when I found out she was a fellow Baylor Bear! Sic 'em Bears! (Gotta give a shout out to our alma mater!)

You couldn't ask for a more beautiful day. After all, March is when we get some of our prettiest weather in Houston. The ceremony and reception went off without a hitch thanks to the talented Soiree Bliss team. Jacque and Jason opted for a first look and it was incredibly sweet and romantic. Jason was speechless when he saw his beautiful bride! The whole day was really a special day for them and their friends and family. Enjoy!

Houston Engagement Photography: Latricia and Okon in Downtown

I met up with Latricia and Okon last month on an early Sunday morning for their engagement session. I love engagement sessions because I really get to know my couples, and it gives them a little more insight to my personality and how I shoot. We went to downtown and spent a couple hours going to some of my favorite spots to shoot. We got so carried away we didn't realize how much time had passed! And I enjoyed every minute of it :)

Houston Wedding Photography: Sandhya and Ashish - Mendhi Night

Sandhya and Ashish were married earlier this year. I absolutely loved their wedding. They're doctors with really busy schedules and most of their family in New York, so it was important for them to keep some of their events personal and easy-going until the big day. During the mendhi, Sandhya and Ashish had a small gathering at their place with their closest friends and family. They kept it intimate with wine, dinner, and baking yummy chocolate desserts! I really enjoyed being a part of this wonderful 3 day celebration!
