Wanna know why I think Lisa and Ben are so cool? Not only did they show up to their engagement session all decked out looking super sharp, but they're Astros fans too! For those of you who don't know it, you can schedule engagement sessions inside Minute Maid Park. Although they weren't able to book a session there that day (it was Memorial Day and the park wasn't taking reservations), we made the best of it and had fun outside the park.

If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you know that I tend to update my status with things like, "It's hot today" or "Houston heat...." Well the day I shot Lisa and Ben's engagement session was no exception. It was hot, but they were very cool about everything and stuck with me as we ventured around Discovery Green and Minute Maid Park. I think they'd agree that it was so worth it. Their images turned out so cute. Ben makes Lisa laugh all the time, and when they look at each other you can see it...the magic between a couple that just radiates when they're in love. Their wedding this fall is gonna be a blast, I just know it! Enjoy :)

Nancy and Jose met up with me a few weeks ago in downtown for their engagement session. They are a very passionate couple who are totally in love. When I got to their session, Nancy was a little nervous and Jose was just quiet and stiff. Oh my goodness...it only took a kiss in front of the camera, a cuddle and some serious eye-to-eye contact for them to just naturally show me how in love they are. Enjoy!

A few weeks ago I got to go to Austin, TX for Aviva and Jonathan's wedding. They actually live in New York, but Austin is where Aviva is from and it's also where she attended college. Since I only got to meet with them the day of their wedding, we planned to do their engagement session a few hours before all the festivities began. We met up at the UT Austin campus, Aviva's alma mater, and did a fun shoot at the school and then at the state capitol. It was really nice for them to get away for a while and just have fun. Planning a wedding can be hectic and the day of the wedding can be even more crazy, so I'm glad I got to sweep Jonathan and Aviva away for a few moments to enjoy just each other. I can't wait to show you their romantic sunset wedding! For now, here some images from our session. Enjoy!

When I met Meredith and Bryan I knew right away they were going to be a lot of fun. We got together last Sunday for their engagement session in downtown Houston and ended up leaving with some cool recycled art! There was an Earth day festival going on at Discovery Green Park that we didn't know about. There was an artist there that had turned things like old window shutters and antique bed frames that were thrown out after Hurricane Ike into art. Meredith and Bryan found this cool piece with the famous Love sculpture logo on it. We used it as a prop for our pictures. After our session, sweet sweet Bryan bought the love art for his love, Meredith!

I had so much fun with them. We laughed, we danced and we played! I can't wait until their wedding this June! Enjoy!

Aunt Linda Kalister:

I love the pictures. They're so artistic and spontaneous in apprearance/ Not like everyone else's staged photos without any artistic flair. And Bty, you romantic, buying the art for Meredith is a story you'll have to share forever!

Aunt Paula:

You two look adorable! Linda's right, it looks so spontaneous and your love for each other radiates through each picture.

Welcome to my new blog! If you've been following me on Twitter, you'll see that I've been mentioning some changes this year. As you can see I've totally changed my blog's appearance. But don't be sad! You can always look back at my old blog under the links section. I'll never forget you my blogger site :)

Stay tuned because my next entry will be about some exciting things from last week, one of which was a trip to beautiful and sunny California with my good friend Julie Wilhite. We got a wonderful opportunity to attend Jasmine Star's first workshop ever!

Also, since I wasn't the greatest blogger with my old blog, I'm going to catch up on all the beautiful weddings and engagement sessions I've been keeping from you!

Let me introduce you to Susan and Don. They're getting married in May at the same church that I married my husband in! After the session, Susan mentioned that it's really hard for Don to smile...yeah right! He was totally cheesing the entire time! Who wouldn't? Susan is gorgeous! She said that they had so much fun, which always makes me happy. It shows in their pictures too!
